Ana Gonzales bio

Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson was born in Mexico into a family that included musicians. She spent the majority of her early years listening to music from the past, boleros from the past, traditional ranchero or romantic songs along with old classical pieces. Ana is a lover of opera and tangos, and the dramatic shows that she attends. Ana began learning to play the piano and sing from an early age, along with her mother. She received more formal vocal training when she reached the age of 16 old with the renowned Mexican Tenor Flavio BECARRA. In the School of Music of Guadalajara University as well as the School of Sacred Music of Toluca in Mexico kept her in the music field. In her early career, she was spent performing with various chamber ensembles and opera choruses and chamber groups in Guadalajara. After moving into America, United States, she performed as a member of the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus. In 2002 she relocated to southern California. She currently is a part of Ensemble XXI of Redlands and is a frequent solo performer of classical Latin American music at private occasions. Her love and passion for art, music, and performing keeps her involved with many local organizations as a teacher and performer. Ana is a previous part of the Community Chorus of Redlands (as as Inland Master Chorale) and Performance Loft. Ana is grateful to Inland Master Chorale members for their permission to play the traditional Latin American song.
