Emma Charlotte Duerre Watson was born in Paris France to British parents Jacqueline Luesby and Chris Watson who were both lawyers. After moving to Oxfordshire when she was five, Emma was enrolled in the Dragon School. Emma was just six at the time she decided to make it as an actress. She studied for a number of years at Stagecoach Theatre Arts, a partially-time theater school in Oxford where she was taught singing and acting. The actress had performed in various Stagecoach performances as well as in school events by the time she turned ten. Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone is the film from 2001 adaption from J.K. Rowling's bestselling book was filmed in 1999. Emma was noticed by casting directors through Emma's Oxford theatre instructor.
